Dotting the Blemish is a collection of short stories that reflect and comment on the inherent prejudices we have as a society. These try to capture the
strong patriarchal system we sanction and the unconscious biases we uphold, in social structures, norms, and beliefs.
The stories stitched alongside each other in this book are stories of strength. Stories about women who lived ordinary lives, seen or heard in families,
as incidents or as folklore. The women who worked through their karma to make a life for themselves and those around them. Sunitha compels us to acknowledge
the prejudice and allow shame to surface, to enable the shift we desire.
